27th-Jun-2007 04:27 pm - As it turns out . . .
Adorkable_Kara

I'm not the greatest poster in the world. However there are those of you out there whose fic I really enjoy and the comments which have been free flowing and fun have been very much appreciated. In case anyone is checking in. I've now finished that first year of teaching (ummm wow  . . . that's all I'm going to say) and am about to start summer vacation.

I'm making a resolution to post more in the fall, but is seems weird to just post when nobody enjoys.

Chow.

Ok. So having seen the new Atlantis I have to say that this season is shaping up very well indeed.

I liked this episode because while it was somewhat dark we learned all sorts of interesting things that I suspect will come in handy in future episodes. It didn't so much fill me with glee, but it did make me think about future possibilitiesand sometimes that's just as good.

So I've been out of town for a few days. Riding high on the 200th ep of SG1 and what do I return to???

All Right. Ok. Jumping up and down here.

That's right. This. This right here is my Happy Dance
(and if I knew how to put in a dancing furlong it would be right here with me)

Fabulous.

Thank you very much  *vbg*

Ok.

So I'm finally hanging some of my fannish colours out to fly. I really like McKay/Sheppard and I just have to say . . .

How Awesome was it that in this ep, inside John's mind, Rodney is willing to sacrifice himself for John. Obviously John sees the goodness in Rodney's character - and that Rodney cares about him. *sigh* made me happy. (yes my goggles of choice were firmly in place)

And OMG The Replicators - they're bringing in The Replicators - the screams and frantic looks around at this point made me glad I was watching alone. Alternitively I could totally have done with someone to share the freaking with.

So Cool.
13th-Jun-2006 07:32 pm - Lackey All Around

So this is primarily for [info]aliaspiral but I hope that everyone can enjoy it. She was commenting recently on her comfort reads and mentioned a liking for Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar series. I offered some of the songs associated with that universe, but then couldn't decide and so ended up with a bit of an "album" for Valdemar. Everything is in one big zipped file (as I'm just figuring out this whole lj thing and didn't want to confuse myself too much :-)

If you really want an individual song I'm sure it can be arranged.

Obviously these will make more sense if you know the books, but if you don't they can still be entertaining.

1 - 3 deal with Sun and Shadow classic Herald's in Talia's time

     1 - Meeting
2 - Sun and Shadow ( the song she sings as a duet with DIrk in Arrow's Flight (I think - for some reason I can't locate those books at the moment)
     3 - Windrider Unchained

4 - 8 deal with Kerowyn, Tarma and Kethry

     4 - Kerowyn's Ride
5 - Three's (Three things never anger or you will not live for long, a wolf with cubs, a man with power and a woman's sense of wrong - drivel yes but
           so good)
6 - The Leslac Version (What happens when Tarma and the bard that plagues her Leslac "share" a story)
7 - Women of Steel (a personal favourite)
     8 - Oathbreakers

9 - 11 what would Valdemar be without a little Vanyel angst

9 - Demonbane (Vanyel smiting the Karsites to the earth - their words, not mine)
     10 - Magic's Price
     11 - Shadowlover

12 - Seleney's (The Queen's) POV

12 - The Cost of the Crown

13 - Talia and Dirk

     13 - Maiden's Hope

14 - Back to Skandranon's time

14 - Send in the SIlver Gryphons

So Enjoy. Comments would be nice. I'd like to see who enjoys it, or feels it deserves a stern mocking.

The file can be found here

p.s. If for some reason any of this doesn't work, let me know and maybe someone can help me fix it *grin*

30th-Apr-2006 07:54 pm - Well . . . Here We Go
Canada
I now have this lovely journal all to myself, and find that I don't yet have the time to edit it.

Regardless I wanted to take the time to say Hello! to any who might stop by, and to let you know that hopefully in the next few months once RL has calmed down some things should start getting a little more excited around here.

:-)
